Innovation in the wild

Startups and entrepreneurs work with IBM on cool collabs and funky features

IBM mentors projects, from startups to enterprises, to innovate on cloud and cognitive solutions - and to have some fun.

Come and see some of our workshop results. They include:
Hands on IoT: This is a popular workshop that we run, after which people build and walk away with a fully function IoT "thing" they can control via mobile and the Watson IoT.
The AI Desk Plant: An office decoration you can actually talk to. It's aware of its surroundings, and uses those environmental conditions in its responses.
World Happiness Monitor: We use using Node-RED and Raspberry Pi to display sentiment of 64 Twitter subjects on an LED matrix. A live indicator of the happiness of the world.
The Enchanted Mushroom: See a colour indication of predicted weather using IBM Cloud, Watson IoT Platform, Node-RED, and data from The Weather Company.
The Sentimentometer: Get an analogue view of the digital world! Monitor the sentiment being expressed on one or more subjects on the internet via an old school dial.
Extreme Hacked Cheerlights: Why wait for Xmas? Put a bit of sparkle into September.
Art and gizmos from the Maker Space: What can you do with the staples of a maker space, including the laser cutter and 3D printer?
